Saturday in 24 hours. Can’t wait!

Why June is Going to be Great

I’m going to see Muse at Wembley Stadium on the 16th!

Simple as that. I’ve got other stuff planned over the summer, but not in June. Like going to see Converge on my birthday. And my birthday being my 18th one. And stuff.  But June wins. Hands down.

Japan’s Luckiness – or – The Music Market’s Stupidity

Being a Muse fan, I wish I were Japanese. Why do they always get more music than us? On Black Holes & Revelations, the Japs got a bonus track: Glorious. This song is as good, if not better, than most on our albums. They also got an album full of great Muse b-sides. Is the music market better there than here in the UK? Do Muse have a better and more faithful fanbase in the East? I’ve also heard that this is the case for other bands too. I seem to remember being told that there were bonus tracks on a Feeder album that were only available in Japan. I need answers. I hope there is a satisfactory reason for this “Eastcoddling”.

All I can really say is, thank goodness for Radio.Blog.Club!

Hoodoo They Impersonate Here Then?

July 15, 2006 at 1:29 pm | In Muse, Music | 2 Comments

Has anyone noticed how Muse have picked up influences from everywhere? I will give a couple of examples from Black Holes and Revelations:

Starlight – Keane; Assassin – Nightrider; Exo-Politics – Franz Ferdinand; Knights of Cydonia – Worms Armageddon menu music.

By the way, this isn’t saying that I dislike Muse’s new album, au contraire, I love it to bits (except Starlight), it’s just that these songs strongly reminded me of these sources.
